I am looking for the body kit that Chevy put on the SS models in 2000-2004 of the Monte Carlo. I have an LS, and I also have a way of getting the kit installed if I can find one. Any suggestions?

 

it's called the high sport kit.

it is possible to do but is very expensive, look to spend about $200 each piece, minimum.

From what I hear, installed the fronts and rears on an LS is doable with some cutting of the stock bumper, the side skirts are direct replacement.

I can't actually find one right now, you may need to check local craigslist for part outs or junkyards.

 

yea here recently ive been starting to check junk and scrap yards locally. no luck yet though

 

it will most likely take some time, i've waiting about 6 months and only have one part of it, and that's just lined up, i haven't even gotten it yet

 

They are very difficult to score. I just dealt with not having it :p

 

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo LS and really want to get the Pace Car silver body kit. Is this possible? How much in total would it costs and where can I purchase parts or the whole kit? I don't want aftermarket either. Thanks so much!

 

They are very hard to find. I got lucky with mine. Found a guy on Craigslist parting one out, and snagged the whole set for $250. Bad far as installing, it takes time. I used a drill bit to drill all the slots, then you use clips to hold them on. There is an extremely helpful guide here on the forum (I know it's on a thread of mine from a whole ago of you want to see it).

This is a very old thread but as stated above there hard to find. There are aftermarket body kits but they don't look like the high sport kit.

 

Just had a side skirt and front skirt put on mine in November from a body shop. The prices on their invoice was rather high, but it might be a good place to start. Also try your local gm dealer, there is always a chance they may have something in stock
