01 SS RR Bumper cover scuff-Replace?
Hello from a new member looking for advice,
Got an '01 SS, white in color, rearended recently which ripped the bumper cover. No rear air dam piece on mine, but found a used cover for '02 SS with the rear air dam piece. It has a scuff in the corner that was enough to go through the paint. Can any filler be used on these covers and will this cover fit my car without the air dam? I am assuming the air dam would require the side ground effects in order to line up correctly, true? My car has the smaller rocker covers with the standard SS bumper covers front and back. What do you guys know?

Are you talking about the High Sport GFX? If so and its attached to the new bumper your going to want to leave the gfx on because there are slots that hold the gfx onto the bumper. However, if you don't want to use the gfx you can take it off and you would have to fill the holes in with some type of plastic glue and then plastic filler to make completely smooth.
An easier route if you didn't sell the ground effect seperate make the money on that and then buy another new bumper. Or sell both bumper and gfx together pocket some money and buy a new bumper.
And yes you would want the side and front pieces to complete the look. It's going to look odd and incomplete if you don't do so. I know I would be all over that part if it was put up for sale. It will sell if you don't keep for your self.
