So I currently have the flat spoiler on my 01 ss, and would like to get the pace car spoiler for a more sporty look. Question is would I need to get anything extra (bolts and what not)? Or would I need to buy something extra? Will it line up fine the the current holes on the trunk? And finally, how do I change it out? lol. I'm not worried about getting one they run about 150 new/painted on ebay, and I'm going to call some pull-a-part places here soon. But if anyone is selling one on here, let me know.

Ah, I just now found the thread talking about this lol. But I'm still a little confused. So is the best thing to do is buy a 06/07 pace car spoiler and it will match up perfect for my 01?

 

The '06-'07 SS spoiler will directly fit to 'surfboard holes. The newer spoiler is slightly shorter in width from rear window to end of trunk than the surfboard, so any imperfections on the deck-lid that the surf board was hiding might be uncovered with the new spoiler. Just depends on where they are. One member reported that there were 2 score marks where the surfboard was that the new spoiler did not cover, so he painted the deck-lid.

mc bob i have someone local have the 00-05 spoiler for sale i can give you his email and you and him can talk. i know he wants $70 plus shipping. it's silver color and have little paint scatch on it. he's from illinois btw.
