00-05 monte headlights without the yolk?

Sucks to know that chibiblacksheep lol... i got so desperate to get those clear headlights i bought a pair of used ones from a member here.
They need to be restored, which really isnt the problem but the rubber trim around the lamps stripped off and im going CRAZY NUTS finding someone who can take my lenses apart, reseal, and re-trim the rubber on the outside!
i dont know why every procedure for our Montes is so difficult, i see people do that kind of work on youtube for other kind of cars all the time...

there was a thread on here about making your own projector headlights and on the video on youtube he shows how to pull them apart. i personally have not done this but i had a buddy with a grand am and he did it to his taillights to remove the red film so that they would be clear. i think you have to heat them in an oven. search on youtube im sure youll find a way to do it.

That's right, you have to bake your headlights in the oven for 20 minutes at a time and try to break the seal, but I heard ours have a hard time cracking open, even after trying 3-4 bakes.

What do you think it would look like if you just tinted the orange part? I think it would look decent if you went dark enough with the Niteshades, and evened out the paint flush with the untampered headlight plastic if there is a bump from the paint. Also, it would be atleast halfway legal because I'm sure SOME of the orange would shine through if you shine a light on it. Just some thoughts.. take them for what they're worth.
