When you're at a car show with your Second Gen, and everyone and their brother comes up to you and says they had one, or knew someone that had one.

 

True story:
You know you own a 5th gen
When you are talking to someone, you tell thhem you drive a monte carlo, they tell you they love those cars and they want to see yours. You point to it, they look and say" oh, I thought you wre talking about the nice ones". And you die a little inside.

When someone asks you if you got a special edition because they have never seen the knight crest badge on the hood and trunk of one.

 

When you're in a restuarant, sitting where you can see your car, someone pulls up beside it, gets out and takes pics, then gets back in their vehicle and drives off. (true story)

 

When a coworker calls and tells you that they caught a guy taking pics of ur car because he got a new cell phone and lost the other pics he took of it months ago ! Lol

 

When your car scares yyet intrigues the kids

 

When people try to tell you your car fishtailed out of the parking lot when you hit second and you are trying to explain to them that its torque steer... the car is front wheel drive

I'm on your side augi. I've gotten that with my 6th gen also.

There are some people around my area that only consider the first four generations to be true Monte Carlo's. According to them, a "real Monte Carlo" has 8 cylinders and REAR wheel drive. I had one guy come out and tell me, "those 90's and 2000's Montes are bullsh*t".

Forget them Augi. If they want to be closed minded and ignorant like that, screw `em. They don't know what they're missing.
