I have been in sales for a good part of my life---selling electronics, appliances, and YES cars also. LOL Unfortunately most of that pay scale has been based on commission only which makes it so if you don't sell the "right" product you don't get paid accordingly. So most of my "lies" have been as another poster said "not telling everything". But is leaving out things really lying? I have never really outright lied to a customer, I have lied to some other people such as friends and family to save face or save them from an embarrassing situation.
