I'm a big third gen Camaro/F-Body fan. Not to mention, '84 *IS* my year (I have one I intend to restore sitting in pieces in my garage). I miss driving my '84, no car has made me feel as good as that under powered hunk of metal and glass.

I really like the 72, not sure why so many haters on that one? I had a toss-up between the 94 and 2002 as the ugliest.....

I personally don't like the design of any of the 4th gen camaros.

[QUOTE:
Actually, I like the Edsel. But I'm glad Chevy improved the second gen Camaro's nose. I joke about the second gen because in MonteCarlology we change the generation with a change in nose or powertrain, right?[/QUOTE]

I'm sorry but I can't leave this alone. You guys separate the 1978 thru 1988 Monte Carlo into two generations. The 1978 to 1980 as the third gen. And the 1981 to 1988 as the fourth gen. Everybody else separates generations when a major revision takes place. In car talk that would be a change in the frame or in the green house(glass) because they are the most expensive changes that a manufacturer makes. In the case of the Monte Carlo the frame is the same from 78 to 88. The windshield is the same 78 to 88 and also is the rear glass. The know the rear quarter glass changed between 80 and 81 and possibly the door glass too. I would have to check my Hollander interchange manual. The dash is the same for the whole run. The only real difference is the outside sheet metal style wise.

As far as the ugliest Camaro ever built. For me that is easy. I can't condemn any individual style because each generation had a few dogs but each one had some really gorgeous models too. So I have one dog of all the dogs that gets the bone
The winner of the dog bone for me was a 1982 Chevy Camaro. This car was bar bones . A stripper model. It was faded blue with a faded light blue vinyl interior. This one had a piece of crap console for the three speed manual shifter. This console looked like something you would buy at Walmart. It had manual windows, and no extra nothing. Under the hood it had the 2.5 four cylinder engine. No air conditioning. I don't remember if it had power steering or brakes. The Z28's and the other upper level cars had a bunch of body cladding, trim and paint that really showed of the lines of this car, but with out all the makeup she looks like the girl with the braces, glasses, and pig tails that everybody had in their class that nobody wanted to date.

i like the 72 waaaay better than the 78.

i like firebirds more than camaros. as far as the new ones go... not my style. i mean, dont get me wrong. id drive one. especially the Synergy Green ones. but, its just too cartoony looking. looks too much like a concept car or something. like 100% plastic. lol

the Challenger is my favorite new muscle car :p

My Favorite One

Clean DeSign...Love to have one with with updated 350 SC
and 6 speed with 4:11 Posi rear : ) + updated brakes/suspensions etc..I'd love to see a remake of this gen : )
Every generation has it's beauty, some just more then others in the eyes of each owner..

I dont think it getss any better than a second gen. I have had many of those in both Camaros and firebirds. I plan on having another 78-81 before its over.
