Actually most are small parts, but they are getting bigger. They don't seem too bad on tolerances. Most are investment cast to basically net shape, with minor machining on 2 sides to clean them up, then protective coated. We have good QC in place. No rejections sent out.

Audible directional indicators!!! Very cool stuff! BAM, "Shooter, 150-meters at 2:00, target locked and Auto return fire enaged..." One dead sniper...

A lot going on, and a lot to learn. My challenge is how to save some warped castings, if that's possible. I believe the last engineer realized way too late the pieces were bad, along with a "bump" that is missing. But he approved the samples, and now we're in trouble. So he just up and quit. My job is to "save the world", as it may. I don't think I can, but at least it's not my fault they are bad.
