Thanks again everyone, but if I told ya what we made, I'd have to drop one on your house LOL!
Actually most are small parts, but they are getting bigger. They don't seem too bad on tolerances. Most are investment cast to basically net shape, with minor machining on 2 sides to clean them up, then protective coated. We have good QC in place. No rejections sent out.
You'd be surprised at what they have in the works now. KEWL stuff! Going to make our troops overseas MUCH safer from snipers.

A lot going on, and a lot to learn. My challenge is how to save some warped castings, if that's possible. I believe the last engineer realized way too late the pieces were bad, along with a "bump" that is missing. But he approved the samples, and now we're in trouble. So he just up and quit. My job is to "save the world", as it may. I don't think I can, but at least it's not my fault they are bad.
