....distinctly says "This section is for How-To's only", yet it seems to fill up with a whole lot of "Can I do this?" or "What does this mean?" or "Tell me what's wrong with my car" threads?

I love the idea of a "How To" section if it is properly used, but honestly I rarely even look through the threads on there because they seem to be mostly misplaced threads.

I applaud everyone who has posted a "How To" thread that falls into the correct category of an actual "How To".

I also applaud the mods in their effort to keep that section cleaned up and full of the appropriate posts. If I were you guys I would have bashed my head against the desk the first day that I even attempted to clean that section up. I know that Taz did an excellent job sorting through everything over there a few months ago, but it just got clogged up again in a few weeks.

I've been meaning to get that cleaned out again. But lately I haven't had enough time to go through that section. I've had a lot going on at home. I'll go through it very soon.

Years ago, that section was closed for public posting. Any threads in that section had to be moved into that section by a moderator. Since that section continues to be abused. I was thinking of returning to that method, only for the How-To section.

 

I think that is probably for the best Taz.

You have my vote on that one.
