Like the title said, WOO-HOO!!! I start tomarrow at 8:00AM, working 43 hours, 4 days a week. I will be THE engineer for a small defense contractor. Rifle, machine gun, and missile parts. About 2/3's of the money I was making, but about 2/3's the drive, and it appears LOTS of challenges, but basically an almost zero stress job! We have over a years backlog of work. Quite a change from the automotive industry.

Looking forward to the challenge, and the next phase of my life.
Good bye to 35 years of moldmaking, hello to precision production machining. Hopefully my last job.

I wouldn't mind spending an extra 2 hours a day to have 3-day weekends!

And the money for a job shouldn't matter, especially if you save on a commute + it's more than unemployment. And if you enjoy it and it's better to wake up to and go, it's personal value is greater than it's monetary value.

Ya, the 4 day weeks will be quite a change from 5 1/2 days I've been working most of my life! And the money isn't bad, it's just I was making GOOD money before. I knew I'd probably never see that again, but that's OK, it's still more than double of unemployment.

1st round will be Saturday night with RJ and his G/F in Kazoo, or maybe South Haven, after the car show at Lane Automotive! Make it to the show and I'm buying the 1st round!
