back in the 50's and 60's, we had more options. most cars came in 2 door OR 4 door. yes, things were different/cheaper back then, but cars looked virtually the same/awesome no matter how many doors they had.

btw, the new impala would be so much cooler if it looked like that 4 door camaro with the extra tale light, instead of an overweight hyundai.

i hate how the back looks. all new cars have the same generic look/shape around the tag. its so ugly.

I agree 100%. You can't tell one car from another any more. hellwhen I was going up. We used to stand on a corner and say which each car is as they drove by. Try that now. Like Nascar they all look a like

I've actually heard someone comment that from some angles, the Challenger looks like an overweight Camaro. Yes, I know the Challenger was out first. The person who said it isn't really into cars. But I have noticed the similarities in the look of the two cars. Especially from the side.

I think the problem of look alikes started in the 70's. When all three of the Detroit 3 automakers cut costs by making "cousins" out of the same car. Chevy Cavalier and Pontiac Sunbird for example. But more blatant are the Dodge Neon and Plymouth Neon, Ford Tempo and Mercury Topaz.

When they started doing that, it was the downfall of originality between cars. That's one reason why I like my Monte Carlo. There's no mistaking a 2000-2007 Monte for the Grand Prix or any other GM car.

The CTS-V has so much more build potential tho and is probably a lot more inexpensive haha

believe it or not, the RT Challenger handles a lot better than Camaro SS, that's why GM came out with the ZL1 and Dodge answered with the SRT Challenger

Srt challenger was out years before the zl1 so the ZL1 is chevys answer to the SRT lol & ehh CTS V cant catch up to the Brabus E the Hennessey 1000 CTSV has a top speed of 215ish & its LS7 twin turbo, with 990hp or so & 900ftlbs the Brabus E has top speed of 234ish & 800hp & 1140ftbs that had to be limited to 911ftlbs so the Brabus is the ultimate badass sedan but yeah a hevy modded ctsv is more than half cheaper

I agree with Amy that the world certainly does not need more 4 door cars. We are hurting for 2 door options.

And I agree with Trewyn that the CTS-V Wagon is the only 4 door I'll ever need. Let Hennesey play with it - they sell a 1200HP, Bugati eating CTS-V: The fastest 4 door in the world. So obviously there is a lot of build potential
