I was looking at a couple of old Hot Rod mags. There were plenty of 4 door cars at a dragstrip. Then I thought!!!!! Why didn't they ever make like a COOL 4 door car. Like say the Mustang in a 4 door for familys. Or a Camaro SERIOUSLY! Those are great body styles! There more of them. So why not build something like that. You guys that are good in photoshop. See if you could make one!. I know I might get some crap about this. but i think it could be a cool way to have very interesting cars out there

 

Because when you elongate a coupe that was designed as a coupe, the wheel base gets too long and the car becomes ugly.

A great example? The Porsche.

MIKE I have to disagree with you. If they made both Models you could choose 2 or 4 doors. I think they don't look bad at all.

why don't they do this again i know if they did a modern version of the Lincoln it would sell like Hot cakes !!!!

 

If they had to make 2 different chassis for the door choices the cost effectiveness would go down.

When you design a 4-door car and turn it into a coupe it's cheap.

When a car started life as a coupe, and is only a coupe, making it a 4-door is not as easy

 

My vote... make anything over 300hp in a two door.

Sedans are ugly Porsche was a great example.

 

I think the 4 doors look cool too. I think the modern impalas should have been available in both like the Grand Prix. I would also like the charger to be available in a 2 door.

This is a little off topic but there is a guy here that has 3 40's ford trucks he built. One is a 2 door regular cab, one is a 2 door extended cab and the last one is a four door dualie. I think he used like 6 cabs to build them all. They are all painted the same too. I wish I had some pics of them. So I guess someone could build anything if they had the money. Get to work Rick.
