I was pitying the dog. Please tell me the dog picture is fake!
How do you spot a fake?

 

Well for one thing, if you see the "Worth1000" logo in the pic, it's a fake. Worth1000.com is site for photoshop artists to enter contests for the best photoshop artwork.

Other than that, there are lots of things to look for. Lighting is a main thing to look for. If an object seems to be lit differently, shadows (or lack there of).

Other things to look for: repeating patterns, unusual pixelizations, and many more. A trained eye can spot a lot of fakes. If a pic seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The pic with the dog is being called a bad fake because the dog is obviously lit differently than the rest of the picture. The dog is lit from the right, while the rest of the pic lit from behind the camera. Plus think about it logically. The dog is not going to be stupid enough to jump off a cliff just to catch a frisbee.

 

i know for sure the choper and the whale thing is false.. i know that for a fact. i did it (jsut kidding). but really, there was a big thing going around for awhile on e mails... real or fake? and that was fake.

 

ya, fake... but the others are as well! some of these fake photos are pretty sweet, you must admit!
