I'm probably looking at getting an envoy, acadia, or equinox. Don't know a whole lot about them yet, but once we start looking i'm sure I'll ask a bunch of questions and learn way more than i want to. As for the monte, I've got every intention of keeping it and using her as a "show car". We'll see . . . plans tend to change whenever they feel like it, but that's the plan as of now. . . . .

My focus for the foreseeable future is to get my 06 Town & Country paid off, get Woody looking good and start the restoration on my 71 Dodge Dart Swinger 383. Project cars do have a way of following me home though. I want a 65 Plymouth Fury III 2 door hardtop, and Susan wants a 1965 Mustang or 57 Chevy Bel Air so anything is possible.

If I were to get a new car i'd like to see a new black GMC Seirra sitting in the driveway or an Challenger SRT8/Camaro SS or a first/fourth gen Monte or any old school type of project

If you do this, stay with models that are later than 2008. I know at least with the Equinox they had a crappy 3400 that was sourced from China, and honestly they aren't great to drive.

Jenna's Dad has one that I've driven a few times... terribly awful.

Also it's nice to see that I got the car I said in this thread

I am planning on keeping my 06 Monte SS. For an additional family vehicle, I'd go with a new Avalanche or Tahoe (more towards the Avalanche), LTZ trim of course. Then at some point, I want to find a black 87 Monte Carlo SS AeroCoupe to go along with my 06. My Dad had an 85 Blazer K5, 6.0L diesel, til 93 and I loved that truck, so, if I can, I would possibly like to find a 72-88 Blazer K5 as a second "historic vehicle".

That's why I revived this thread. I don't know if all member noticed that this thread started in the summer. Its great that its still an interesting topic and we are getting new opinions, but this is also a "where are they now" kinda thread now too.

This must be an enchanted thread. I got the car I said I would too! That means that members can post any car they want in this thread and 4 months later you will own it!!!
