Question What fall/winter plans do you have for your Monte?

Do you have any projects etc. planned for your Monte for the fall and or winter? I will be doing some stuff under the hood for the fall/winter and possibly some interior stuff too. Oh yeah, and figuring out some form of a portable garage for her too.

Unfortunately my Monte has to be my daily driver. But my Dale Jr rims will be safely stored away. While my winter rims are on the car.

I hear ya. Mine is my DD too and I really wish it wasnt. It is alot of maintenance, plus not having a place to keep her out of the elements makes it worse, hence trying to figure out some sort of shelter for her. Thinking of keeping my factory wheels for the winter in case we get bad weather here.

Probably late October/early November, the Monte will be under cover for the winter. Stored with the old/crappy stock wheels to keep the nice ones safe. During the winter, I *might* get back to my work on a new L67 TB and L26 aluminum UIM for the Monte (something I wanted done for this year, never happened). Plus, red powder coated fuel rail.

Out side of that, no big plans. Just wait until spring and enjoy the crap outta her

Mine will sit covered in the garage starting sometime early November. No plans during storage time but come spring, as soon as the car comes out of storage, I'm considering having my only rust problem (passenger-side rear quarter lip) taken care of before it spreads further and becomes a larger issue. Hoping it will cost me less having it done sooner rather than waiting.

First on the priority list is getting the Check Engine Light off. I'm fairly certain it is from when the CAI fell off last week, the light is the reason I knew the CAI fell off as I pulled over and lifted the hood and found it was off again. So just waiting the for the pcm to cycle to see if it goes out.

Second, is a toss up, depending on how much money we have, but either new tail lights, or a new hood.

sadly mine is also my daily driver, so need to keep it running nice and smooth, plus in the same situation as others with not having a garage to park it in. And not enough space on the side of my house to build one

I have a list of maintenance and mods to be done, all depends what I can afford. But otherwise she'll spend her time sitting outside all winter, getting driven as long as the roads aren't wet. No wet salt for her...

I feel your pain. I hope I can come up with some sort of shelter for her soon.

DD here too. 18's will come off at Thanksgiving and the stockers put on until Easter, or when the snow is gone. Then try and keep it clean with many car washes to try and keep the salt off.

As far as mods, I've been toying with the idea of a custom HUD. Got some ideas for it, but we'll see how far it goes.
