I used to carry MP3 CDs in my car. But now i can hook up my thumb drive to it and take everything with me and just hide it in my glove box.

I agree with what Amy just said. I do make compilation CD's out of necessity. But like Amy said, the discs only hold 15-18 songs. Why should I have a pile of compilations CD's to flip through; looking for a specific song or artist. Changing discs in a hurry at stop lights. When I canhave hundreds of songs available on my iPod without fumbling with CD's?

Yes it will, just as long as the radio has an AUX, BAND, or DISC button. I am not sure if it will work with non XM radios. I know you will not get the text song display unless it is used in XM mode. I donâ€™t think GM changed the radios in the Montes until 2006, so it will work with 2000-2005 stock radios. If you shop around you can get this interface for a little over $100.

Yep ... you'd think the station managers would recognize that people are getting tired of this ... and try something different, like playing more music, to help get listeners back, since satellite radio and CDs and MP3 players, etc., are taking away listeners.

As I mentioned, I'd love to see more variety ... and a better mix ... and simply MORE music.

Heck, if you notice the song quote at the end of all of my posts (sig area), you know what I mean about variety ... old and new!

Quick follow up to this thread since radio is "near and dear" to me:
Small town/local radio stations GET the idea of variety...new AND old.

During my recent quick road trip back'n'forth to St Louis MO, I forgot to take some CDs for the drive down ... and, of course, had to listen to the radio. If I rent, like I did that weekend (had a Dodge Charger), I usually take a few CDs ... just in case.

Listening to the radio back'n'forth to STL wasn't ALL bad, though it became quite obvious how "cookie cutter" some radio stations are. However ... as I've experienced during my road trips over the years ... radio stations that serve a small area or city/town KNOW how to play variety AND the songs you don't hear much anymore. I heard some awesome songs (both rock and country) that I have not heard in a LONG time. Now ... just imagine if ALL radio stations GOT it...!?
