What are the chances of this?
So I find this link on another forum that breaks down your VIN and tells you how rare your car is. So I plug in the Monte and see what it says.
Vehicle: MONTE CARLO Z34
Year: 1999
Build Date: 1999-02-08
Found 16,031 vehicles matching your year and model in our database.

There are 17 1999 MONTE CARLO Z34 vehicles (0.106%) matching your exact options list. There are 49 (0.306%) with at least as many options.
Now the funny thing is I know my car was a 2/99 build, but it turns out it was built on my birthday! What are the chances of me buying a car that was built on my birthday? I just find this amazing...I guess I was meant to be with this car.

According to this site, my car is one of 8,794 matching this year and model.
Rarity:
There are 1 2006 Monte Carlo SS vehicles (0.011%) matching your exact options list.
There are 12 (.0136%) with at least as many options.
This makes me even happier I bought this car.

That's a really cool link - thanks for posting. I could even use this at my job on the parts counter for determining different braking system on some models, etc. This is the most useful thing I'll find today.
How ever, the vin for my Monte gets a "Sorry, rarity information is not yet available for your car. Please check back soon." Still a very cool site!
