I'm passing the time by doing research on phones. I'm almost eligible for an upgrade on my phone and so I'm debating what I want to get. Don't even say iPhone. I refuse to buy it. I have issue with their business practices and won't buy it. Plus, I'm not one of those people that worships the ground that Apple walks on. I don't need a million and a half apps, email is the biggest thing I've had a smartphone for so I may end up getting the new Blackberry. If I don't stay with Blackberry I'll go to Android.

The biggest thing about the Android phones is, unless I want to settle for a mid-teir phone that the new BB blows away in terms of performance, I'm limited to touch-screen only phones. I'm not to fond of touchscreen only to be completely honest. Plus, BB still does email better than anyone. Plus, the ability to back up EVERYTHING with my blackberry on my computer has been helpful several times. I took an early shower so I think I'm gonna go to the Verizon store and play with phones for a little while before work.

The processor on the new BB is on par with almost anything on the market, and outperforms the iCrap er I mean iPhone. BB OS's are also designed to take up less processing power and RAM, which leaves more to run other things. And while they make slide out keyboards for some Android phones, those are mid teir phones that have a weaker processor. None of the top of the line Android phones have a physical keyboard. That's just the reality of things. There are no physical keypad Android phones that have more than a 900 ghz processor. The new BB has 1200, which is on par with just about everything out there. There's only one or two phones if any that have a more powerful processor. Another area where BB shines is battery life as well. I need to make sure whatever I get can last an entire worknight because I don't have a chance to charge once I get to work, and I'm a fairly heavy user. That's the biggest downside of the 4G phones is they really suck down the battery.
