Had a little excitement earlier tonight. I was sitting here on my laptop when I heard a dog barking and howling out in my yard. I looked outside and there was a hunting dog wearing a collar with red blinking lights. He must have thought he treed a raccoon up the tree in my front yard. A minute later 3 hunters walked up and apologized for their dog. I said no problem I don't mind, and we never did find a raccoon.

Kerry, you ever go raccoon hunting? Also, do you know where you and the family are staying this week when you come to Pittsburgh?

No I'm not much of a hunter. I don't like to get up early. Even though this was night hunting.
One of the places we're looking at is Best Western Parkway Center Inn on Greentree Road, it's about $99 a night. But she's also going to check if we can stay in one of those places for cancer patient families, near Shadyside. Nothing decided yet.

Zach just because the bank says you can afford a 75000 dollar house doesn't mean you have to spend the full 75000. The best thing to do is not even look at the houses at the top of your budget because they will all seem prefect and you will want to buy them. Also make sure you look past things like ugly paint, flooring or interior decor because that is all stuff that is easy to change.

Overgrown and unmaintained landscaping is another thing to look past. Some people wont even look at a house if the yard is a mess and it is easily fixable. A saturday or two in the yard and you can fix it right up.

Kerry, you don't get up early? How can you not be up early with the kids.... I'm not a morning person either. I went raccoon hunting once, it was pretty cool, just let me know where you might be staying, I might be able to meet up if it's close to me.......

Oh, I get up early. I just don't LIKE to get up early. It's not as bad as it was when I worked at the Wal Mart Grocery Distribution Center warehouse though. I had to be at work at 5 am and got up a little after 4 am. I NEVER got used to it.
I'll definitely let you know where we're staying. I don't know if I'll be bringing my Monte though. I'm kind of paranoid about possible snow and SALT. Might bring dad's LS. Who knows. LOL
