Well think about this.. I think tahts a 6 speed in that car. Those gears are VERY tight together. I can see where you could easily miss third gear and put it in first. My dad told me how he blew a clutch out going from second to third in a 69 Mustang.

On most of the manuals I've ever driven, the car won't even go into first utnil you're down around 15-20 mph at the best (unless you rev the engine kind of hihg)... our old 1950 won't go into first until you're under 10 mph without giving it some gas. This guy was power shifting (meaning he held the throttle down when he hit the clutch and never letting up), but still, I just don't see how the car even went into first.
