>Viper owner Blows `up Corvette<

Do we need to ask too many questions about this? Yes, the North Texas Viper Club helpfully posted this video of a recent meeting at a gun range where they took out some bowtie aggression on a non-running fourth-generation Chevy Corvette. Yes, said destruction was completed via a .50 caliber gun and Tannerite, the gun-range choice for making targets go boom.
But asking why they did it, or what message it sends, or how it reflects on Viper owners, or whether the Vette should have been put to some other use (like, say, furniture) seems besides the point. They did it for the same reason anyone has ever used a car for target practice: because they could.
For the record, and to preface the conversations that this will start: the Corvette has won its class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans seven times. The Dodge/SRT Viper has done it three times. Last year, in head-to-head IMSA racing, the private Viper team outscored the new factory-backed Corvette C7.Rs, and as of today, both will be at Le Mans again this June. Fire when ready.
* I think some people are crazy 4>$ure. They could've used a paper Corvette Target & gave the Corvette to a Charity or 2 a good cause to help others. What do you think ?
I just find it very sad : (

Watch a Corvette Z06 Get Smoked by an AMS McLaren MP4-12C
Nicole WakelinApril 19, 2015
The 2015 Corvette Z06 is a supercharged monster with a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft or torque at the ready. It has a 0-62 MPH time of 3.1 seconds and will leave a lot of cars choking on its dust. The less powerful McLaren MP4-12C should be on the list of cars that will be left behind by this Corvette, but this video proves otherwise.
This clip features both a 2015 Corvette Z06 and a 2012 AMS McLaren MP4-12C out on the open highway. It looks like someplace sunny and warm with all those palm trees passing by in a blur, but the biggest blur is the Corvette disappearing into the distance behind the McLaren. It’s absolutely no contest as the two line up on the road and it looks like the Corvette driver completely forgets that the car has a gas pedal.
**(I think the Corvette Driver didn't even try, but catch the very end of the vid: )
RELATED: See The 2012 McLaren MP4-12C
Adding insult to injury, the driver of the Corvette is all on his own without a passenger while the McLaren has someone in the passenger seat filming the video. That adds a little extra weight and weight may be what settles this match and gives the McLaren with its 625 horsepower and 433 lb-ft of torque the win.
The Corvette weighs in at 3,524 pounds wile the McLaren comes in at 2,868 pounds. Combine that weight difference with the AMS tune and you have the results in this video.

I'll take the Vette.
For those idiots to blow one up just proves they are not true car guys. If we all liked the same thing the world wood be boring. But to destroy the competition just because you can afford to to is arrogance, stupidity, and childish all wrapped up together. I am a Chevy guy, I have Ford and Mopar friends. But we are all CAR guys. Not overly wealthy bafoons.

If you think so but truly a clean 03-04 terminator is truly the best bang for the buck IMO. Get one for 20k or less and 60k of mod money it will out perform a c7 z06 in every aspect before hitting the z06 base price. I'm talking all aspects (salom <miss spelled that one., 0-60, Q/mile, agility (g factor), power numbers, track and drag times.) and then some.

That's just disrespect. Could've given it to me instead of wasting it. I would've made it a happy corvette! Also it's funny how a $90,000 car beats million dollar cars any day in any category! Corvette is the best car for the price. Only competition is the GTR and I'd still choose the vette. I love the GTR a lot, one of my favorites, but the only car I'd take over it is a brand new z06!

Whatever floats your boat.
I could spend $60K in mods to most anything and outrun most any stock vehicle.
