How many members invest their hard earned money in this "Hallmark Holiday"? I made a poll of this thread just for extra fun, but feel feel to just comment or post pics. Who do you buy for (i.e. more than one lover?!?)

Valentine's is special to me because it represents the end of the "Gift Giving Season" for me. Between Christmas and Valentine's Day, I still have to buy for my wife for her birthday and our anniversary. The winter leaves me really empty of pocket.

I used to send flowers to my wife every year using Teleflora, cuz its convenient. But they really botched the anniversary flowers, so this year I'm not sending any on Valentine's Day. I sprung a few bills and got the wife a nice ring. She'll have to settle for jewelry. I always buy a gift for my daughter (5 yr old) to make sure she feels special and to set a high standard for what she'll expect out of boys later in life...

 

My wife and I usually just try to have a nice dinner (on a day around Valentine's, not on the day) and we exchange cards.

Instead of flowers, I get her some chocolate covered strawberries.

 

I've given all of the above, apparently this year my girlfriend got us a massage and then I gotta set up dinner still... I should probably get on that lol

 

Last year I bought all of the above plus a flight and hotel to see me in Biloxi Mississippi while I was in tech training. This year im alone.

 

Valentines Day:

It use to be a big deal wit my deceased wife and I...

However,
Lizzy and I merely say the words to one another on the day and that's about it....

Our year is pretty much filled with different celebrations.. (its a viscious circle) Like you brent it just kills my ability to save any cash.

 

Me and my girlfriend are going out to eat then to some valentines day ice skate thing.

 

nothing...cause I don't have a lover unless the car counts

 

me and the wife will be going to a nice dinner and i will take her shopping. she is not the flower,teddy bear, candy kinda girl lol

 

Probably taking the wife out for a nice steak dinner and get her a box of chocolates, unluckily for me within the 6 weeks in and around valentines I have 5 birthdays (the wife's is one of them) to buy for on top of valentines

 

Hi `Keane, yes your Awesome S.S. counts 4-Sure. I've found that `if you love your Monte, that it will love you back. It's been proven by many owners 4-Sure. Don't give `up on your search to find the right person to share you life. You are young & have lots of time to find, but sometimes it just happens. Good Luck.
