good afternoon everyone! been relaxing in the garage all morning/afternoon. Got the standup air conditioner down from the back shelf in the garage. Bastards heavy!! I'm wondering who the hell had the strength to get this thing up top..

I've been painting my newly acquired solid front and rear sway bars. Finished sanding over a hour ago, I've been waiting for the primer to dry since. Front is done, waiting for it to harden, rear still needs to be sprayed on the other side. (hanging on a beam right now)

Now i'm just sitting down next to the standup a/c, and the garage open venting the air out..


oh, last night I hung out with a co-worker at his favorite bar. Loved the place! Before we both left he shouted over from his car "Awman.....I love the sound of that engine!!" after I started my car...gave it a little gas and he melted in his seat. It definitely made the night..

 

BumMike, I just returned from the doc and he says I need to have the surgery. It only takes an hour and they will go in and shave the bone around my pinched nerve and herniated disc. Should miss work 4-6 weeks or if I can find light duty (10lbs) or less maybe just 2. He is a spine doc and says it is only getting worse. I now have developed almost a constant tingling in my leg and foot over the last 2 weeks. I am on my way to losing strength in my left foot he said. I have had it for 3 months and have already had an epidural which helped but only with 2-3 percocets a day. My family doctor also agreed with him as I called him first. He gave me one last prescription because he does not want me getting addicted. Nor do I.

David-I sure hope mine goes better than his. I think his was much more severe than what I am going to do.

David, it's a good thing the strawberry plants were planted by the previous owners of the house. Because I'd be a little frustrated that these rabbits are eating the strawberries before I can get to them. But as it is, I don't really care if they eat them. And it's more enjoyable watching a family of rabbits in my yard, then the urban wildlife alternative I had at my old neighborhood. Squirrels, skunks, rats, etc.

 

Afternoon guys. Been way busy with everything up here at Knox. Ready for us to be done so I can get back, buy that 78 Camaro, and then head out on vacation. Wish I could have brought the 73 to work on it but oh we'll. I need to install my new gauges and set up the headlights before I get her back on the open road though

Btw Jerry (77GP), sorry to hear that you're needing surgery. I'm gonna get my knee looked at up here. There's a rather large lump in it and if they have to cut it out that's gonna be interesting considering its up against a bunch of ligaments. So I may be in a similar boat needing surgery.
