Mike, that sucks man! I think most of us have had large repair bills on our cars. We know how it feels. It hurts big time. Especially when money may be tight. We're all with ya Mike!

Amy, I hope you get your power back soon. We had the same storm here. Many parts of town lost power due to downed power lines. I remember having to throw out everything from my fridge and freezer back in the big 2003 blackout. I had just bought about $200 in meats the day before. Sorry to hear you're having to do the same now. That sucks!

 

Well, it's about a month late. But I finally got the packages I was expecting in the mail. The mail here in Canada stopped for 2 weeks because of a labor stoppage. Locked out.

But I got a very nice surprise from Ricks SS. Thanks Rich!!!
And I got my wheelskins steering wheel cover. WOO HOO! Now to pull off the "Pep Boys special" Dale Jr #8 slip-on wheel cover, and install my new one.

 

never that I can remember has there been a mail stoppage in the US, but what happens with you bills when it happens.... Do you still have to send them in? I'm clueless.......

Hi all! I did end up going into work about 10:30am and it was quite a challenge with sporadic traffic lights out. Our power at the house came back on around 4pm. A house about 8 down from us almost burned down cause the guy was careless with his generator. I was told it happened about midnight. Crazy. Burnt one whole side up. He's lucky he lives next to an empty lot.

 

Afternoon all. I touched up the paint inside the house. Still need to finish the outside. I will post pics as I get things cleaned up.

 

Yeah Chris. Bills are still due even though you don't receive them in the mail.
