Seeing other Monte Carlos around here (even older Gens) is a rare sight. I know there are a couple members from the Seattle area that joined recently, but I haven't seen their cars yet. Other than that I saw a White SS (with surfboard spoiler) about 6 months after I bought mine, a Pewter SS about 2 months ago and in the last month I have seen a red SS and an Intimidator. I think the red SS belongs to someone that works at the grocery store we go to every weekend. I have seen it there the past two weekends in a row. I don't mind not seeing many though. I like the idea of owning a car that you don't see too often. It seems like every high school kid owns a Camaro or a Mustang that mom and dad bought for them. You see so many of them they just blend in with the rest of the cars on the road. The Monte stands out and always gets admired everywhere I go.

So i would say i know of about 50% of the monte carlos in my area (6th, 7th gen).
There is a lady with a blue SS 00-04 with ghost flames and white trim.
A blue Pace car for sale at a local dealer
A Yellow Pace Car for sale at a local dealer
An 08 Monte with the pace car flags for sale at a local dealer
A yellow Pace car owned by someone who works at the Mall movie theater
A red 00-04 Monte owned by a local drug dealer (lol dont ask)
A 4th Gen owned by a girl who went to my school (was rusted and beat up a.k.a trash)

Should have let Mike do it Angie! He could have done the cover for you. Heck I am farther away from you and he has a bunch of my stuff. I may just drive there and pick it up this weekend and save on shipping.

The only prep I did was cleaning the whole thing with alcohol. Then I cut red pinstripes for the lines, and used touch-up paint and an artist's brush for the letter & numbers. The only Rustoleum was the clear coat when I finished the red parts.
