well get to go battery shopping, any suggestions? college kid need bang for the buck. Turns out 29 amps is what it takes to start a monte

official, yes it is Justin... and I just had the Z at a meineke and they don't think it's the cat, maybe a half shaft? But the boots on both shafts are still in tact, so, still wondering what it is? any guesses?

Got the GTO insured but cant get it inspected till tuesday

Not a big difference in price / performance between the different brands (at least for a standard battery). Check online with the auto parts stores that you have nearby to compare brands / prices. Make sure they offer a decent warranty for the first 2-3 years in case you get a dud. A good one will replace it free of charge if it dies within the first year or two, then offer a prorated discount for another year or two.

Bring in your old battery (or drive the car there and swap it out in the parking lot) in order to avoid the 'core charge'.
