mornin folks. i'm making some pancakes for breakfast
that's awsome! wonder if it'll be a new "chevy runs deep" commercial or something.
So GM contacted me on Facebook and asked if they could use one of my pictures as a promotional tool for them. They asked me this on a different photo before but this time was different, They made me read a whole agreement and agree to it to use my pic! It was a huge agreement, curious on what they will use the pic for!
Glad to keep the monte still fresh in their minds!
General MotorsAwesome! Thanks, Devin! We really appreciate and love fans like you and your Monte crew!

Devin, I saw GM's post on facebook mentioning they had a question for you. I kinda figured they wanted to use your picture. But I was thinking maybe they forgot what kind of car you guys had. Remind them they're Monte Carlos, and they used to be made by Chevy.
But really, congrats on GM using your picture!

This day is going SLOOOOWW!!!! My office does not know how to operate HVAC (I am freezing, feel like I work in a meat locker sometimes). The word is the weather is awesome again outside (I have no windows and try not to torture myself by looking for windows to peak out of).
Last night, worked more on the bathroom repair/remodel (I cut some drywall I need to replace, so now I have a wall that looks like a Tetris board). Tonight I might "summer-prep" the wife's Mustang (this year the pony gets a trans fluid/filter change, just like I did with the Monte).
FYI - On the topic, I know it's been discussed. GM uses a "re-usable" trans pan gasket. This is STRICTLY my opinion. I dropped it on a Monte with 70K on it, has not been driven in the winter since I bought it in September of '08. I would not re-use the gaskets (the "grooves" in it are flattened with age and the rubber on the metal gasket was looking aged, I estimate it had another 30K if left untouched). BUT, it cost a little more, I threw out the freebie gasket with the filter and bought a re-usable pan gasket (looks just like OEM, but the rubber on it is red not black). I did not get it with intent to re-use it, I got it for easier install. I LOVED IT!! A lot less fighting with the gasket.
That's some cool stuff!! You should tell them to let you know where your pics can be seen at so you can brag to all your Monte buddies
Cool stuff!!
Do I sense someone wanting to make a employer switch lol....

I've heard of O'reilly's heading their way on up here very soon.. I've heard lots of good things from them..
Hey! Don't get me wrong here...I love Autozone! Their overall goal is nice, but I just don't like how its run. If I did switch, I'd be afraid of answering the phone....
