Sorry, it's only fair that you Southerners experience some of this cold too.

Morning commute was over 2X as long this morning. Not as bad as the evening commute yesterday but still not fun. Roads are still slick and it's too cold for salt so the County is throwing sand again.

Good Morning EV1!

Brent:
Thanks for starting the Daily Blog!
Apparently, Space had to head out ASAP after you mention of his 30,000 post? I'm sure we will see classic Spaces post after his return..

Another chipper day here too! Freeways were super slick for lizzy to go to work this morning.. I can just imagine what her ride home is going to be like...

Not anything special going on here today...

Have a Great Day EV1!

So I called about a job I found, its part time, but it varies from 20-40 hours. The pay is higher but if I don't end up with 31 hours or more i'll make less money than I do now. Quite the gamble for sure.. Guess I'm staying put

Keane::
Its always a good thing to look for a better job.
Until you find something that advances your pay... I think its a very wise decision to stay where you are til you do find a better one.
Good Job!

The job I looked at has better pay, but if they can't say how many hours i'll get for sure its too much of a risk. Its tough to find something that pays more that isn't extremely physically demanding or requires some kind of degree.

These days, employers love either using mostly part-time employees or overworking salaried employees (so they can send home the part time employees). It's demoralizing and profitable

That's whats happening where I work now, nothing but part timers with cut hours so they don't have to pay health care or pay us a lot of money. Its extremely annoying, especially when they always say they'll make full time positions for those who deserve them.
