Off to purchase a new pressure switch for the water pump in my house. Tired of tapping on it to get water here!

 

Gregg. Good to hear your getting your lazy azz back to work Mickey's been asking about you .. I remember when I had 4 weeks off and 5 sick days. And when I ran out of that. I'd use a leave of absence. But we were working 7 days a week 10 hrs a day for months on end. Sometimes you need to just get awayy from it all to clear your head. Nothing like doing that at Daytona Bike week and Sturgis to let off some steam

 

I would love to hit the Daytona 500 again this year but I don't think that will happen. Florida is decent in Feb, Then all the bikers start showing up and it goes to He**. just Kidding. They do make some noise going down A1A late at night when all is quiet. We were grocery shopping and I did see some white flurries but it stopped for now.

 

Augi, you can just ride with us down there. my back seat only had 30k miles on it, shes not even broke in yet!


Done with.class for the day! Gas shot up to 3.69 today, luckily the walmart gas station kept theirs down at 3.37 until lunch, they always do that, it helps when I take my truck and the Monte there and can fill.them both up and save some money!

yeah Jerry Fla is great at that time of the year. n get pretty warm or even HOT and humid. But its our town during that week to 10 days. Some like it some don't. The Business ower love us. Cause we jack up all the prices when we come into town. Speacial event crap. Samething in Sturgis. Mostly because of the RUB"S ( Rich urban bikers) The want to be badass for a week. I did that for 24 yrs in a row. Broke up the winter up in Michigan. Cause we would take two and 1/2 weeks for our winter vacation

 

Ashley; We do the samething but at Sam's club. Saves us some $$$. So yr done with classes today. Whats on the schedule for this aft ? Hows the weather where yr at ?

 

Rick time off is always better when it is paid. I wish I could get some overtime like that. There are some areas that have that kind of overtime but the hourly rate is just over minimum wage. The good paying jobs don't get crap for overtime. They would prefer to pay an outside contractor thousands than pay hundreds in overtime. Their justification for this is that overtime comes out of one account and contractors come from another. I told my boss that this is BS because it all comes out of the same pool of money. It should matter what column on a ledger sheet the expense is posted too. Costing more to get the job done is still costing more. He said he understands that but it isn't his choice. Big corporations make some really stupid decisions.

I don't get into bikes too much, so I don't do bike week but they make their presence known all over central Florida. I did get to Daytona last February for the Daytona 500. I scored a set of free tickets. I hope the same happens again this year. It is cool to watch but I think I like the TV coverage better as it is more informative. I did enjoy the midway displays.

The GTO just got more fun in snow, empty parking lot & drifting

 

Now I am thinking about going down for 3 or 4 days and catch the Bud shootout. I prefer my couch also for the 500.
