Chris find a friend to ride with you to get the new Monte in your current Monte then meet up with Chibi for a three black Monte photo shoot. Then tour friend can drive the 5 gen back home for you.

wow, thanks everyone for the congrats and thumbs-up. I received an e-mail and it looks like the best / easiest way might be paying to get it shipped, the guy selling the car gave me a contact for a carrier and said it would be $300...I'll keep you all posted, and by the way I did a blue book value today, which I guess I should have done before making any bids... and it looks like $2750 would be the private party price in good condition......

Shipping would probably be the best method, since you don't know how it will perform on a long trip, and gas money is crazy.

Congrats on the good purchase

Chris: I had my Chevelle shipped from FLA To MINN. Long story on how I found that one. But it got here in great shape. The driver was a car guy also. Plus he had another Hot Rod in the trailer Think it was a 69 SS Camaro. This guy was so cool that when he left FLA he called me. Then the next day called told me where he was and about when he would get here. I told him if he got here at 3 am. I'd be sitting in the driveway with a cold one !! . The Chevelle showed up around noon. I don't think I ate anything till midnight that night. I was all over the Chevelle. Plus friends & family stopping by to look and B/S for hrs. Good luck. And post pictures of it coming out of the trailer & stuff like that. It's all about "MAKING MEMORIES" Chris.. C ya
