If we could figure out a way to run our cars on bodyfat, I could run my car free for a year.

Why can't we scoop up all the oil the Exxon Valdez left in Alaska and use it? Or any of the other 20 oil tanker spills that have happened in recent years?

We should devise a method where a combustable engine will run on breast milk. I mean if famers are getting $5/gal for cow's milk (I know the farmers aren't the ones getting this money) when why not pay american women for producing breat milk and allowing our country to get off our foreign oil fix? It's a renewable source and won't harm the enviroment in the event of a tanker spill. Anyone think this is a good idea? Okay, how about a stupid one? Anyone?

Well lets see.....

We are borrowing 2 billion dollars a day from China for this war. The conservative estimated cost for time spedn there, benefits for troops who went, and the etc. is $3.5 trillion.

As much as I'd love for America to do good things around the world, helping hte children go to school and get educated, the simple fact of hte matter is we just can't afford it. Wars cost troops and money.

Ronald Reagan said in 1984? when we invaded Grenada "We will not turn tail and run". 239 Marines died, and we pulled out within a month. Ronald Reagan addressed this in his memoirs, saying "I did not understand the irrationality of middle eastern politics."

(BTW, don't start up the "Reagan had Alzheimers" crap again... he wasn't diagnosed until 1993, 5 years after he left office)

If we stablize Iraq, and all is peachy, how long will it stay that way before Achkmed Ahmadinmajad or whatever comes over and screws it all back up? Then how much more troops/money do we have to spend to straighten it out again?

The Ronald Reagan that left office in 1988 was NOT the same guy who was voted in in 1984, he was changed for sure, and not in a good way. The initial stages of Alzheimer's are hard to detect, but it starts with dementia, which Reagan surely had, since it ran in his family.Anybody that saw him speak publicly near the end of his second term could surely see a major difference from the start of his second term.

He only admitted he had Alzheimer's in 1994, he clearly had it well before then:

We didn't "invade" Lebanon, we were there as peacekeepers. It was then that the terrorists blew up our Marine barracks, and Reagan "cut and ran".

Why does anybodythink "WE" need to straighten out the internal affairs of countries on the other side of the world? Let them work things out for themselves. If their own next door neighbors don't even want to help them, why should we?

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll wipe enough of each other out that we won't have any issues with them ever again. Remember, in a poorly fought Iran/Iraq war over 1 million people died, just imagine if you got a bigger regional war going, with say 3 or 4 countries on each side fighting. It would be like a neocon wet dream! And we could just stand on the sidelines and go tsk, tsk, that is so terrible. It wouldn't cost us a dime, either.

The U.S.A. doesn't need to be the world's policeman, especially if the rest of the world isn't willing to back us up and provide support, both with money and/or troops.
