Monte07, thank you for the post. Servicemen/women reading this should feel pride in what they do. I work with some of the best people I have ever met. There are a few people out there who joined the services with an ulterior motive, but the majority are genuinely good hearted people with the best imaginable intentions.

Served seven years under President Reagan all over the Far East . N Africa and Bierut half year in the States. The majority of my service was spent within pro-American settings along side military forces with the same goal..Freedom. Russian's were still commis' the East Berlin Wall still stood, American hostages had just been released and Marines walked the streets of Beruit as peace keepers sleeping in barracks at the airport, like I said mostly pro American. I left the service just shy of the first gulf theature and have the deepest respect for all our servicemen and woman who have walked before me as well as those who serve to this day.Semper Fi and God Bless...

this is my little brother ... the "proper" owner of the monte ... but due to redeployment and certain financial issues i have taken ownership of the car to prevent losses ... if you cant understand im being vague intentionally i dont wish to discuss the particulars ...

so he's back in iraq at taji ... til xmas time i believe ... i miss him like crazy and am more than proud of him ... as i am all who have or will serve this great ( well sometimes ) great country

a heart felt thanks to all members here who serve(d) ... and if youre ever around chicagoland, beers are on me
