Default Things You Find at the Junkyard

Post things that you've seen at the junkyard that stand out or just didn't belong there.

Rustangs!!!

Local police cars

Decent looking Z24 Cavalier, didn't have any rust

The Mystery Machine!

This poor thing looked to be a good runner and the 3.4 DOHC didn't seem to be in too bad of condition, would have taken the whole thing if I had some money.

Old w-bodies put to rest

Good thread idea. A buddy of mine owns a junk yard and at one time he had someone bring in the front half of a 68 or so Firebird, 2 68 or 69 Chevelles, a first generation Camaro, and an El Camino SS. He knows cars so they all got saved. I have some pics on my old phone. I'll have to post them the next time I'm home from college.

Some of the cars you see make you wonder how they got there. I've seen some late 70's/early 80's cars that were solid, did not look in too bad a shape given the age (a little TLC, could completely restore it and WHAM it's a classic) that JUST arrived in the yard. There has to be a story. Impound/estate/someone who does not know anything about cars, something....
