has anybody else observed the abundance of Sunoco stickers appearing on car and truck bumpers and windows? at first I thought it was just a coincidence. but then I noticed they're not just on the raggedy old '89 Sunbird that already has tons of stickers on it, they're also on the back of nicer vehicles like the Trailblazer SS up the street as the only sticker. I assumed maybe it was an enclave of local nogoodnicks that had gotten a batch of them and ran around the neighborhood one night sticking them on everything in sight but now I'm seeing them all over the Pittsburgh area and beyond. I brought this to my friends' attention and now they're seeing them everywhere too. it actually boggles my mind (and that's not an easy thing to do). what the heck is it about Sunoco stickers? and if you haven't seen them yet, after reading this post, I bet you will now

actually here in Blawnox, Pa, it is a 1 man/1 car police town, pretty boring until the steelers or penguins win a championship!!!! or when i get out in my monte!! no, not really, i've kinda mellowed out in my recent years!! see ya. i can see a sunoco from my window as we speak! i'm always looking out the window to see and check out my monte!!

I have a sunoco up the road from my house, one by my work, (actually four on the way to my work) and one right in the airport (don't ask me why I spend so much time at the airport, I just love watching planes take off and land)... their gas is okay actually, my 98 monte got such great gas mileage (before it got whacked that is)...

I NEVER put bumper stickers on my car. Ruins the paintjob. Maybe Ill put one in my rear window with some scotch tape. Right next to the new temporary trip permit. And the missing inspection stickers. I think I got took for a ride on this one...

 

I like the "knowing is half the battle" bit vincenti. I mentally saw the cobra logo coming out at me and rotate to the Sunoco logo and retreat. I hope they use this line at least once in the upcoming movie.

Although I intend to decal this car no more, I would be willing to put the Sunoco decals in front of my front wheels (the decals look just like the Nascar ones positioned there), but there is no such contest in Canada. I only use Ultra 94 anyway.

 

Free fuel isn't worth putting a sticker on my baby. :P
