I had a good day at the track yesterday.
I secured 5th place in the Sportsman Class track points last night!!! Pretty happy about it.
Now there will be tons of stuff to do over the winter because the Monte will undergo a major transformation. I am hoping to have her down in the low 13's. She will be getting a new rear end out of an 87 Grand National. It will have New 390 gears with 30 spline Moser racing axles with a full spool with c clip eliminators. While the rear end is out I will also be installing 3 way Competition Engineering adjustable racing shocks. The engine will be pulled and the bottom end will probably be refreshed with new bearings, etc I will also be putting the adjustable shocks on the front but the old shocks need to be cut off because I am positive they are from 1984...LOL I will be putting on a new 600 cfm Holley 4 barrel carb, new water pump with electric water pump drive, new starter and alternator. The transmission is also being pulled since the engine is coming out and I am sending that over to a racing buddies to be rebuild with a stage 2 B&M shift kit.
