Evening all. Ben a GREAT day for me and LadyT, other than an incident at Church this morning. Remember a while back I had everyone wish Charles a "happy birthday" here, and O printed it off and read it to him at his b'day dinner? Well, his g/f's mom fell at Church this morning, and maybe broke her arm. Luckily, we had a 1st responder in the Church, and I was able to get her out into the foyer to start helping her. (I'm an usher). Ended up calling the ambulance, and they took her to the hospital. Too much drama for a Sunday morning. But I look at it this way: I'm thankful we had a 1st responder present, and didn't have to wait. And yesterday, I moved a light switch and conduit that was hanging loose while remodeling, and it arced out on the ceiling and burned the ceiling a bit. I'm thankful it happened to me (while I was doing OTHER electrical work there anyways), and not happened to someone else, and started a BIG fire, ore just happened and burned the Church down.
Anyways, this afternoon, we went to the Centerville Fair (St. Joseph County Grange Fair), and had a GREAT afternoon, after I cooked a FABULOUS ribeye steak dinner before we left. The nice thing about the Centerville fair is that it's not a 4-H fair, but a grange fair, and it's BIG! Hundreds of horses and the such. Several barns of just cows. And the same for pigs, sheep, etc. And the horses have about a dozen barns, including this football sized barn just for draft horses. The Belgians, Clydesdales, Percherons, and the such. BIG horses. A birthing tent for animals. Antiques, quilting, art, fruit, vegetables, AND the "Great Pumpkin". This years winner was only about 475#'s. A couple of years ago it was over 600#!
Anyways, a GREAT day at the county fair! I hope everyone else was ablr to enjoy their weekend, and get a chance to play and relax a bit.
Talk at ya tomorrow!
