Mike, more details please ? I hope there's no damage to your Monte ?

 

He didn't get away with the car, but there is some minor damage to it. Some chunks of the weatherstrip between the door and rear side window is missing, and the paint on the vertical bar between the side windows is chipped up pretty good. He was escorted to the bar & rivet motel after a stop over at the hospital to have his facial wounds treated. It's too bad he tried to run...that 'pavement' does a real number on your face when you trip and fall.

Mike thank goodness they didn't steal your monte - sucks about the damage though.
I'm going to finish cleaning my K&N filter today and put a coat of wax on the Monte.

Will your insurance cover the damage Did he run from you or the police ? I hope you are the one they gave/put the pavement marks on his face/body...

It's sad 4-Sure...It can be stressful to own & drive a nice car 2day I hope the courts gives the perpetrator a life's sentence for trying to steal your Monte...
What was he charged with ? Will you have to testify ?

Mike, that's just awful that your beautiful Monte got scraped up but I'm glad you're okay. As for the dirtbag's facial abrasions, GOOD FOR YOU.....I mean, the pavement.

 

I don't know yet if I will submit it to my insurance company. I need to get some estimates for repair then weigh that against my deductable and the possibilty of my rates going up because I filed a claim. His injuries occurred while I was detaining him waiting for the police to show up. He was charged with trespass and car prowl. I don't know about court yet...depends on whether or not he admits guilt, but it was captured on video (and he knows this) so he'll probably just admit guilt and pay restitution.

Afternoon all sunny and 80's here today. Mike I'm glad you caught the guy. Hopefully he is a decent person who just made a stupid decision and not some career criminal who has no regard for others. Because that way he will at least pay the restitution. Unfortunately around here most non violent crimes get pled out to nothing but a slap on the wrist. Hope its not like that in your area

Angie destin is a nice area. It's right next to Panama city beach so the area has plenty to offer.

 

My boyfriend rides a 450, he has 2 450s and a 250f for his arena cross races. He won and was safe today, so that's all I really care about! he rides in the A class which is the best class of guys. He's come a long way and I'm super proud of him for doing something he loves instead of other things he could be doing. But all in all I love going to the races and one track we go to has a car track too that's 3 miles long and they always have lotus elises (which are my favorite car, besides a Monte) and they are all so pretty and fast. Tons of people go and I always get caught watching them instead of him. :P

Mike! Sorry to hear about your car! I'm glad I live in an area that doesn't have people like that, small town where everyone knows eachother pretty much. hopefully you can get it fixed on that guys dime maybe!
