I have almost all CFL's in my house too. I had a couple that failed way sooner than they claim they're supposed to. I didn't notice a drastic drop in my electric bill either.

Many of my CFL's were free as well from the power company and various rebates and promotions. I didn't notice a reduction in my power bill either.
