The rain stayed away yesterday so I washed and vacuumed the Monte. Last night we stayed home and watched a couple different firework shows on the boob tube. No unruly crowds, no obnoxious drunks and the best seat in the house. I was listening to my scanner and there were a lot of incidents involving intoxication, fighting and fender benders. I'm sure glad I'm not starting the New Year out like that. Hope everyone makes a good one of it today.

Happy New Year Monte lovers....we had a quiet night with neighbors coming over for beer and snacks. We had music on the TV in the background, one candle burning, no fancy decorations, and plenty of Bud Light. There was a box of Cocoa Crispies for those that wanted an extra-special treat for New Year's Eve. Rick wanted me to post for him this morning but I see he already did (in his Travels blog). It was super nice to welcome the new year while talking to a good friend; I'm glad he and his wife are almost at the end of their road trip. After a busy Sunday of football Rick will probably fall asleep in the recliner and wake up to a text from me at midnight.


Did everybody here have a good New Year's Eve celebration? Hope all are safe and tucked in this a.m., getting ready for a fully automotive Sunday. It's too cold here to do much - luckily I detailed every square inch of the Monte yesterday.

 

 

Happy New yr everyone. Spent most of the day with a old friend in Laughlin, Nevada last night. Man the Avi casino was packed SOLD out. And that ain't no small place. Thank you Angie for updating for me. Sometimes we have trouble logging in at hwere were staying Sun is coming up here time to hit the rd and finally get to our condo in Surprise, AZ. Going to be a very busy day. Again Happy New yrs to ALL my MCF friends. I'll try to log in from our new place. BYe for now. Rick

 

Morning Rick! Laughlin??? Boy that brings back memories from when I lived in Tucson. I bet it is grown up since I was there about 15 years ago. AVI?? that must be new since i was there. Is the Gold Nugget still there?
