I feel your pain Keane. I spent a few years working at Winn Dixie supermarket. Holiday business worked the heck out of us. But the good thing is the week after the holiday was normally slow. Hang in there!

 

Good morning everyone.

Started on call today, I was "Voluntold" that I was doing it this week but I told them my band was booked for Friday and Saturday night so they had to find someone else to cover those days. Oh well, so far it's been slow today which is a good thing. Got a lot of the yard work done yesterday getting the pool pump in the house and other assorted items that can't stay out in winter, then tried every garage in town to see if I could get the wife's snow tires put on her car but no one could find the time for it to be done, or they were closed. I never understood a garage closing on a Saturday, as a good majority of the people work during the week and Saturday or Sunday are the two days of the week when they do have free time to get stuff done, but what can you do, I guess I should have made an appointment. I will let her take my car to work one day and get hers done for her.

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy last night and it was pretty good, the special fx were great which is always a nice treat.

Good afternoon everyone. Sore from leaf clean up yesterday. Got the lawn cleaned up just in time for the snow - which really didn't amount to anything thank goodness. I don't know if they dumped salt on the roads or not. It looks like I'm going to have dry weather next Friday when I drive my Monte to the big show.

I saw the post of the ACDC song, our version wasn't quite like theirs as they have the bagpipes, but I did a fairly convincing job on the guitar. The only problem is that the singer does everything a little country when he's unsure lol, so it was a countrified version of their song for the first part of it, but then the bass player and drummer and I took over

Evening all, got woke up earlier this morning by a call from my grandmothers emergency pendant thing. Apparently she had fell outside getting the news paper and was laying there for a half hour before the paramedics came and got her. This is starting to drive me nuts constantly wondering what she's doing since my parents are away. She's home now.

Holidays in retail are always fun lol, i'm on the night shift for the next 2 weeks, so i escape having to deal with the mobs of people, so thats a plus.
