You guys are lucky, new cars are over 180 in Iowa!
My 95 beretta would be 25$... a truck would be like 60$ a year.. vanity platess are at least double, and a 3 month backorder.... to wait 3 months when it's only good for a year...

Nope.
Not when $27 of that goes to the Illinois Route 66 Heritage Project. And, that means I'm still only paying $85 to the state of Illinois (with $85 being what I currently pay for my personalized plates)....
