Hi Mike!

Thanks for your posts!

I try to come to MCF as an escape from my problems. It doesn't always work out that way. But most of the time, the people here are really good people. Perhaps people are making the effort today to not worry about all the little problems in life.

This is the time of year when people of all faiths take time to reflect on the past year. And hopefully we learn from our mistakes.

Hopefully we recognize the things we can change. The things we can't change. And know the difference between the two.

We all get asked what our resolutions are for the new year. Personally, I do have resolutions. But I like to keep them personal. So I can work on them as necessary. Not pressured by others to follow the timeline they feel I should be following. I think that pressure to fulfill everone else's expectations is what causes so many people to fail.

We can only do so much by ourself. We all need help at times in our life. Wise people know when to ask. Refusing to ask, or accept, for help when you need it dooms you to failure.

This is why we come to forums like MCF. To seek the knowledge and advice we need. And to know we're not alone.

Happy New Year.

Thanks 'Lou (Taz) & Tadd for your words/posts

There seems to just 'be to many takers in 'life that give nothing back > I find that very 'sad 4>Sure.
The MCF is like a international airport with people coming & going. Some just come in & take/get what they need then depart. Many don't say thanks, but a few stay and add to their visit and help others. Some say goodbye, and other's just depart and never return. I guess that's just the way that the internet is or maybe 'life...I'm learning as I travel this 'journey of `life...

I have noticed this too, seems like some people are in the forum with both feet one minute and then like the wind, they are gone never to be heard from again. I mean we all have our moments away, but it would be decent of someone to say "Adios, Good bye" if they sold their Monte or just are moving on to other interests. It would be a courtesy to at least let us off the hook. Not like were going to send them hate mail or such. Seems like lately after a person wins MOM, they are here for a couple three more months or such and then NOTHING. And yet as you say it could just be the way of the internet, one can dissappear behind anonymity never to have really been known and escape any judgement, not that we have any right to judge anyone. Sad state we as a human race have become.
