Sweet! Looks like you did Route 66 the year after me. I went September 2009 ... from Pontiac IL to San Bernardino/Rialto CA. It was AWESOME. Hardly any interstate driving AT ALL!!!!! 
Heh ... wish I had started years ago, too. But, nope ... started doing it during my Route 66 trip, September 2009. Up until that point, hadn't done it ... wish I had now!

Okay, I was resisting the urge to post this. But here's a road sign that is really famous. And pretty much everybody in the Michigan area is familiar with it.
Interstate 75 has an exit ramp that leads to Big Beaver Road in Troy, MI.
It's not fake. It's not photoshopped either. It is real. Yes, it's funny. And yes, everyone around the area has gotten over it. Please keep the crude jokes to yourself. Enjoy!

I just looked it up on Google Maps and... YES it's definitely a real sign. You can drag the little guy to the street view on Hwy 75 and see the sign. Awsome... If I knew how to take a screen shot, I would post it.
