Thanks for the info taz i will keep looking now.

RJ, i can put my hand aall the way from the outside to the interior of the car thats how rusted the doors are so i have really only one choice of finding some other doors in better shape. Also i dont even let my parents drive my car so sorryI hope u understand.

i just got gone today flushing the radiator, oil change and getting all the 2+year old gas out. and finished buffing out all of the oxidized paint it actually looks like it would of been a nice car back in its prime.

If you need someone to stop over and take your Monte out to keep it lubed up, I'm willing to help.

Mickey, are you logging on in RJ's name again?

For a freebie, you can't go wrong! I bought a $500 Cavi' years back. About an '85. Ran rough. 3 cans of dry-gas, and it ran great! Lost it in a divorce (was hers anyway) but it was a good little car. I did some painting on it, also. Keep looking for the doors. They will turn up at the right price for you. Have patience.

Luke, it's all part of owning an older car.
I'm going to start my own thread about the joys of owning older steel.

Say what? Look at it this way. I'm not related to you in any way (you're not from Ohio are you and you do know who father is right?) so who would be better to take care of your Monte for you? Family? NO!!!!
A complete stranger. One who you know nothing about. They are the better choice here.
Family would only abuse your car and expect you to pay for the damages.A stranger (such as me) would give loving, tender, care to your car while you're away.

Have I convinced you yet?

I had a '93 Cav with a 5-speed. Not a bad car. Wish I still had it for the gas mileage.
