Maybe 3 weeks ago a story on Yahoo.com. Economists said we shouldn't complain about $3.50/gal for gas.

I don't know where these people work? But................ $3.50/gal to me IS VERY expensive for gas.

They claimed the higher price wouldn't hurt the ecomony. In what country?????????????

I'm not getting a raise to offset the higher price of gas, clothes, food, narcotics, alcohol, or health Ins. So how do they figure these higher prices AREN'T hurting the economy?

Sure it hurts! It's called an invisible hand. That's money you could have been buying something else with. Maybe a candy bar. Maybe saving it up for a set of tires. Maybe going out to eat. Instead, the only people getting helped are the convience store owners, the oil companies, and OPEC. Unless that oil tycoon decides to spend those extra millions of profit on something American, then it is not helping the American economy in the least.
