I put in for IL specialized Route 66 vanity plates and got my first choice! I was only able to have 4 characters but I think I picked a cool one! I won't tell you guys until I get the plates and I will shout pics of them - it is a secret.

Looking forward to seeing your new plates .
Thanks Cort. I think $40 of the fee goes to the preservation of Route 66. And when you renew each year $27 goes towards the Route 66 preservation.

Finally got my personalized plates in the mail after 4 months of waiting. I got "03 BOSS" on the california 9/11 memorial plate. on the bottom it says "we will never forget", but my license plate frame covers that part up

look in my pictures and check it out.

the plates fit my car well i think, boss is a strong word, i like it.

what do you all think?

I don't know, the only thing that comes to my mind is the Boss Mustang. I know they didn't make an "offical" Boss Mustang in 03 but they did come out with the Mach 1 and I am sure there are decal kits out there to make the New Edge Mustangs look like Boss tributes.

Nice plate. Like the frame too. I have to admit I think of Mustangs when I see the name BOSS as well. But I wouldn't get rid of it. If you like it, go for it!

I got an idea for a personal plate of my own, and is available. But I don't want to mention what it is until I actually put the order in.

still not why i put that on my plates though.

i just like the word, its strong. stands for something. boss mustangs came factory like that, i built my boss.

I don't wanna hijack the thread, but 2003supersport, can you PM / Email me a picture from inside your car, as if you were driving looking out the windshield?

I wanna see what that hood looks like from the driver seat

You can post the pic too if you like. As you know by now, we love pics. lol.

As for the personal plate. I'm trying to lessen the possibility of someone scooping it out from under me before I order it.
