Gregg, I can sympathize with your neighbor problems. The woman next to me used to cause trouble for everyone on the street, all the time, usually petty stuff we could ignore. But then she called the cops, complaining that I had too many rats in my house. She meant to complain about my six cats. The police showed up on my doorstep and asked how many rats I had, so I said (honestly) "None. I have six CATS." The cop explained that three is the limit and that the next time they came to the house and asked me how many I have, I should just answer "three." So I did - and added that I took three others to a friend's farm. After a few more years, and a few more annoying incidents with her, I found out she had Alzheimer's and was going to a nursing home.

I think I learned a lesson from this, and I try my best to apply it when necessary: Always assume the best about people, until you know differently.

I watched the game. Oklahoma played very sloppy. If they play like that next week they'll get murdered, as much as I hate to say that.

Angie this witch doesn't get along with anybody. She has been a problem for all the neighbors and it isn't like city living where I live there is acreage between everybody. When I first moved in she pulled up all the survey stakes so I didn't know where my boundaries were. I put up a fence. After it had been up for about 18 months she does an aerial property search and realizes my fence is on her property. Rather than come over and talk to me she sends a lawyers letter. I tell the lawyer to tell her to get it surveyed and then I will move the fence. I ended up moving the fence because I was ten feet over the line for about 15 feet. She lost big though because she had to pay for the new survey to the tune of three grand and she was also using my yard as her side yard. I put a stockade fence up on the line that was four feet from her house. So lost quite a bit of coin and a good chunk of her yard to get me to move my fence ten feet on land she didn't even use but now has to mow. The story goes on and on. She isn't happy unless she is fighting with someone and I guess it is my turn again. A wise man once said you need to get along with your family and your neighbors to have harmony. She doesn't get along with either for very long. She is in her sixties and certainly should know better. She doesn't have alzheimers or anything like that. She is just ornery and has been for the last 25 years according to my other neighbor.
