Good morning everyone! It looks like a sunny cool next few days in store for us here in Southside VA, high's in the 40 - 50range and lows in the 20's. I can dig that weather, no rain so I can shine the Monte and it stay clean!!

Barbara I envy you getting to work on your race Monte. I hope you enjoy it and the results are satisfying. I know you will be busy working on Frankie this weekend but post your progress when you can!

It looks like buying the parts for my upgrades are getting shelved...again. Another major life event stepped in the way. BUT, soon I hope I can do the mods I had planned.

I have the kids this weekend so that will be fun! Maybe we can play a little soccer and football outside.

Good morning MCF!!
Thanks for starting the blog Tommy.
I have a call in to a local racer who also has a shop. Need to get the center hole on my rear brake backing plates bored out a bit for the new Moser racing axles to install properly. Once that gets done I will be able to make a lot of progress quickly. I do have other things I want to get done so I will stay plenty busy between now and opening day at the track.
I did manage to get my new rims and tires ordered for the front of the car. I think they will look good. They will be here the middle of next week!!
Not sure what I will get done today but my list of things to do is getting longer...lol
Here's my list so far:
-Remove stock rear end
-Clean up and paint new 10 bolt, 8.5 rear end and get ready to install
-Replace brake shoes on backing plate(once hole is made bigger in center for axles)
-Install axles, backing plates, and drums on rear end
-Install new rear end, with new adjustable upper trailing arms, trick chassis springs and adjustable racing shocks
-Install and wire electric water pump drive
-Relocate gauges up higher on dash
-Move zgate shifter back about 6 inches
-Pan drop and transmission fluid and filter change
-Swap out Edelbrock 600cfm carb for a Holley 650 cfm double pumper carb
-Put on new rims and tires on front
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:

GO OUT AND KICK SOME BUTT THIS SEASON!!!

Wink

Well had a long day today went to a Gun Show today in Des Moines they had all kinds of stuff but nothing that I found interesting enough to purchase. Got a new bag was about it.
Back at the Hotel and same old stuff the TV here got an upgrade and when they did it dropped down to 4 channels and they can't seem to get a handle on it. Been like that since Wednesday.
So I suggested they make the Cable provider stay at the Hotel till they get it fixed and make them eat the breakfast and see then how fast they get it done.
