If I get one it'll have a manual for sure. Even if God forbid I lost part of my leg in combat I'd still find a way to drive a stick. I love it that much. Nothing like running through those turns and shifting.

Thanks Kerry. I like all the 2nd gens, but the early (70-73) ones are by far my favorite Camaros.

Same here. If I were looking for a Camaro, that would probably be my first choice. I love the round taillights, the unique front ends. The 1st gens as nice as they are have been done to death.

I know guys who have been converting their round taillights to LEDs and it's completely awesome too. Definitely going to be one of my future mods.

It really is driver skill. Not only that, but knowing your car. If you know exactly how your car will react when it loses traction, you will be able to react and correct it without even thinking about it. I drive better with my RWD vehicles than most do with 4x4. Only time I would EVER need 4x4 is to get to certain fishing holes. I'll probably get a little S-10 for that purpose since I haven't been able to make my good fishing holes lately cause mother nature gets it all crappy to get to. Other than that, my Burb will be the one seeing snow and I'll take my Camaro in it before I take a FWD.
Drew you are better than me. I always found the Camaros and Firebirds I drove to be too light at the rear and too powerful. Had difficulty not breaking the rear wheels loose on dry pavement. Lol. I preferred full size sedans or wagons with a few sand bags statistically placed over the rear axel. The first snow of the year I would drive to a secluded parking lot and play for an hour or so. I then knew how my winter beater handled in the snow and ice. I was then good th go the rest of the year.

I bet LED '70-'73 Camaro tails look sweet. I saw LED panels for mid '60s Chevelles in a magazine somewhere.

Kerry, it looks totally awesome. let me see if I can find a video for it.

Gregg, keep in mind I typically use manual transmissions. That gives you a level of control that you just don't get from an automatic.

Mike, I completely agree with you on the manual trans thing. I'm fine with my truck not having a stick (actually the column shift for the auto tranny keeps it out of the way of my planned console) but yeah any camaro I've ever had (and I've had several) have all been manuals.

I just watched that custom 59 Plymouth Fury go across the block. On brought 45K. Would have brought a lot more left stock.

Drew every one I drove was a V-8 with an automatic. My favorite Camaros/Firebirds were the third gens. Got to have a T-top and either the Iroc or the T/A. I also love the Bandit Second gen birds.

I've had 2 V6s (one 3.4L V6 and one 3800), and 3 V8s (LB9 305 TPI, L78 350 and LM1 350)
