Dave - Ultram is generic for tramadol, and that's exactly what they gave me in the hospital. It helps with the pain but can be nauseating - especially if Liz has nothing in her stomach. Have her eat the ice chips slowly to be sure they stay down; if she can swallow a plain cracker or half a piece of toast before the next Ultram, that might help. Keep us posted!!

Lizzy just got up from a 2 hr snooze..

After you suggested it...before her nap...The chipped ice works!
She has yet to puke... After her nap I made her some dry toast
shes slowly trying to eat it and keep it down.. I also chipped her up some more crushed ice..That shes also keep down (fingers crossed)..Right now..she feels that shes not gonna need any more pain meds... Thats a good thing....
She also coped a clean earlier (bath) and that relaxed her a bit..shes begining to look like herself again! If she starts raggn on me..then I will know shes a whole lot better..

I think things are starting to get back to normal, But shes very sore and tender where they beat the heck out of her kidney to shatter that stone...as well as being tender from trying to pass the broken peices.
However, she still feels physically as well as mentally wore out.. Shes thinking she can return to work tomorrow..(yes she works on sundays at the casino) Her normal days off from there are Monday and Tuesdays...
Im thinking later this evening shes going to change her mind about work tomorrow...

Thanks again Angie for your tips! Its helping...
